Workouts and Pre-game rituals

Hi. I am 15 years old, 5’10" 140 lbs. I have pitched for a couple years now, and am looking to take my pitching to the next level. What should I be focusing on when I work out (i.e. biceps, triceps, etc.)? Also, what are some things that you guys do before games. For example, what songs do you listen to or what foods do you eat. Thx :slight_smile:

You should workout the body as a whole, not just isolate certain muscles. Squats, Deadlifts, dips, pullups, pushups, body rows, overhead presses, and just about any olympic style lift would fit the bill.

For food, you want to avoid foods with high glycemic index ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glycemic_index ) because they will cause a quick spike, rather than sustained absorption. Try to avoid sugary and starchy foods pre-game.

I agree with kc. Some other exercises that are good are cleans and snatches. Also for songs, i would suggest enter sandman!
