Bio: Last year I played on my High School's Freshman team. I am 15yrs old and primarily a pitcher. Right now I am working on a change-up but I am having some problems with it. It seems like everytime I try to throw it, I throw it in the dirt. My coaches from the 4 different leagues that I play in all tell me that I need a change-up to compliment my fastball. I hate people who brag or boast but I am often told by my coaches and friends that I throw pretty hard. I could be throwing from 70-85, but I cant say that considering I havent been gunned since i was 12 (65mph with a crowhop). Another problem I am having with my pitching is accuracy. I started playing baseball when I was 11 and I love it, but it is very frustrating when I can't consistently throw strikes. I constantly work on this and don't let it get me too down. I consider my curveball to be very effective so I dont really throw it much in practice. It is almost like a right handed version of David Wells' old curve ( although I am a RHP).
Please, anyone who has questions, tips, or anything please post. I am using this as a motivational thing to keep me concentrated and focused on baseball + my workout routine.
