Whats your imput with working with a weighted ball?

I’ve read that it works wonders. The book i read on pitching (sorry cant remember the name it was from the library!) there was a study that it proved it increased velocity and control. It also helped arms get stronger which leads to more innings pitched and less injuries.

On the other hand I’ve read that they completely destroy your mechanics, shoulder, and wrist. What are your opinions?

I think that they are great if you use them well. Before starts — as long as you don’t wear down your arm — they can work wonders. They are like donuts on a bat. I’m sure someone out there is opposed to them though.
