Weight lifting in season

I’ve been told as a pitcher I should maintain my lower body strength in season, especially squats. What about upper body weight training? should I just maintain the gains I’ve made or continue to go heavier in season, or cut it out all together?

I would just mainatain the strength you got in the offseason. The offseason is for making gains, while in season is just maintaining it. You dont have to work out as often but often enough you arent getting weaker.

That’s the plan. It just gets difficult trying to lift 5 days a week and play 5 games a week, and also in the spring/summer i incorporate cardio/baseball related workouts into my routine
