Too much tail

#1

Hello. I have been having too much tail on my fastball when long tossing and throwing in general. I throw from an arm slot that is most like a low three quarter…

I know that one of the benefits of throwing from this angle is the movement, which is a good thing. However, I think I have too much. I need it to be more straight.

Am I simply just not staying behind the ball?
Thanks

you can’t get too much tail if it’s consistent and you can throw it around the plate. that was maddux’s secret to throwing 86-87 for years and years. the ball ran both ways and he could thow it in a shoebox from the mound.

you would be way ahead to work hard enough to know where it’s going.

I agree with Dusty 100%.
