Timing the opening of your upper body with foot plant

I’m not too sure how to word this but how can I improve the timing between me opening up my upper body with foot plant?

I was watching this breakdown of Joe Kelly and noticed that he seems to open up his upper body millimetres before he plants his glove-side foot and that’s when I found out that I’ve been opening up my upper body a tad bit early

What are some drills that I should start incorporating to fix this? Is this a mobility issue?

good observation. Tom House has a a good drill for this called the "get by me"have some one stand a few feet in front of rubber on glove side. I’ve also used cones or a chair. He likes the phrase rotate late. hope this helps,
