I’d like to know thoughts on my son throwing on days that he works out. Is it fine if he plays catch after he works out? We usually do our weight routine, then go to the field to do cardio and running so its more convenient to throw then. So my question is, is there an injury risk if he throws after a workout, or is it recommended that he throw before he works out whether it be upper or lower body workout? Thanks.
If it’s just throwing, you can do it in any order. If your son is throwing a bullpen however, I recommend lifting after so that the control and accuracy are there. I sometimes found throwing a bullpen after lifting heavy affected my control/feel for pitches.
