The Wee Brown Mouse

The Wee Brown Mouse
(Unknown author)
Some Guinness Stout was spilt on the bar room floor,
when the Pub was shut for the night.
Out of his hole crept a wee brown mouse,
and stood in the pale moonlight.
He lapped up the frothy brew from the floor,
then back on his haunches he sat.
And all night long you can hear him roar,
“Bring on that dog-gone cat!”

This reminds me of a story about a man who went into a café to have something to eat. He ordered stew, and when it came he discovered a large mouse (no, not the computer kind) in it. When he called the waiter over and started to complain, the waiter shushed him: “Hey, pipe down, not so loud—otherwise the rest of the customers will want one too!”
