The benefits of LONG TOSS

hey guys
i was just curious
i have heard that long toss is areally good in developing ones potential arm strength and velocity. IS IT TRUE? ive heard of it as a conditioning thing but can it really increase your velocity?

There have been studies that have shown that people who regularly long toss will see an increase in velocity. I long toss a lot more for maintenance right now but I feel it helps me a lot.
