Hey I was wondering if anyone knew of any good swimming workouts. I know Nolan Ryan was a big swimmer and it seems that the type of strength that it builds would be very beneficial.
I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions such as sprints versus endurance swims, as well as what types of strokes are most beneficial. It would seem that the freestyle if overdone could wear down your shoulder.

I pratice swimming since 7 years ago, and baseball aproximately 2 months. I don’t think swimming would help you pitching, except if you swim butterfly. Fly exercise your arms a lot, you don’t imagine how…try it :wink: … I can’t confirm if you swim buterfly is gonna help your pitching’s power, because I began to swim before I began to pitch…however do it!
