I’ve been resting my arm and icing it lately. It feels way better than a couple of weeks ago. I just don’t feel like I might hurt myself again. Should I lay low this week and try pitching agian? Or do you guys think its fine for me to pitch again (75-80%). My doc told me i’ll be good in a week from last thursday. What you guys think?
I’d say give it another week or two. You definitely do NOT want to start pitching too soon, only to aggravate the injury, or worse, tear a rotator cuff! Check with your doctor, get an MRI if need be, and when you’re cleared to resume pitching, then do it, but get into it gradually. I’ve seen too many pitchers who tried to resume too quickly and ended up on the DL for the rest of the season. 8)
