What are your thoughts on using a Stim machine on your throwing arm before going to your game? Would it aid in warming up for your game? Would it promote arm health?
I would not do so…, electro-stim is not intended for that type of use. better used for theropy/rehab post injury. While it does promote blood flow & circulation to muscle & tissue you cannot replicate those type of mechanics by turning up electro-stim equip. to replicate muscle contractions of the arm when pitching.
To even try it would be unsafe and I would not suggest you do so.
I always used it at the end of a rehab session.
I don’t think it would do any good to use it before throwing, but that’s just my guess.
I’m sure someone like KyleB or Lanky can chime in
No personal or anecdotal experience with TENS units, can’t make a suggestion either way. Seems like it might be OK for post-throwing therapy. I wouldn’t use it prior to throwing, but that’s just an uneducated guess.
similar thought… anyone have any history of using magnets for post performance recovery?
