Sleeper Stretch Before Games/Practices

Hi,
I have my players do the sleeper stretch before every game/practice. I was told tonight that having the players do this stretch is very bad for the rotator cuff. What are your thoughts on this? I want to do what is best for the players.

I don’t think the exercise itself is bad, but it needs to be done correctly. A cross-body stretch is a better alternative.
