hey guys ive heard a lot about this being a huge part in the amount of velocity u generate from your body can someone please explain what this is to me and where i can find a video of a person who does it well? thank you
Hip and shoulder separation is about the hips rotating before the shoulders and the shoulders delaying rotation until the hips have fully rotated which puts as much distance as one’s flexibility allows between the front hip and the back shoulder. It takes good timing to do this well.
Go to the video clips section of this site and look at ANY of them. If you save them to your own machine and open them in Quicktime, you’ll be able to easily step through them, frame by frame, and it will be quite obvious what’s happening there. Enjoy.
