Ryan Madson

what is it about this guy
he doesnt use his legs at all
yet he still is great and throws upper 90’s
he also has a weird arm action

can someone explain

posting some film of him would help

You don’t have to use your legs to throw high 90’s.Odds are his arm will break down and his MPH will go down alot. Probably won’t have a super long career. His weird arm action is probably a result of all-arm throwing.

Hmm, well he actually started out pitching the same way as a starter. He’s been pitching in the majors for like four or five years now, and this year is the highest his velocity has been. His arm is getting stronger, not weaker. He began as a starter and when that didn’t work they put him in the bullpen. He only pitched sporadically until this year when he was used more.

Besides, you can’t tell that someone is going to just fade out with injury by watching them pitch on T.V.

However, I think he did once have shoulder surgery. Just saying.

I’d love to hear your explanation on how he doesn’t use his legs kelv.

Every pitcher uses their legs… No one stands on the rubber and throws it.

using your legs to stride is a default(all pitchers must do it)
he doesnt use them efficiently
it might just be from him being tall
he doesnt stride long
his back leg doesnt come around

His back leg just stays by the rubber Kelv?

Just because he’s tall means he’s not using his legs efficiently?

Yet he throws mid to upper 90’s… hmmmm, smells like fish.

he doesnt use his legs as much as other pitchers but still hits high 90’s
how is that

who cares, typical kelvin post

i do
thats why i posted

Sigh, no use arguing here…

i dont want an argument
i just want to know how someone can throw high ninetys throwing all upperbody(which has been partially answered)

its called genetics, the reason why alot of mlb players are in the mlb.

ha
never thought of that
probaly why hes tall

You can’t tell if he’s throwing all upper body just by watching him pitch one inning on a game on tv.

well it sure looks like it
short stride
legs dont bend much
weird arm action

I just have one question, why do you always do so many lines in your replies? Why can’t you just use commas, like the rest of the world? I’m not trying to pick on you, but it is just really annoying.

Dang, can anyone get a vid of his mechanics?

Ehem Xv uhh futureKaz

i make my post easy to read

yeah and a clip would be nice
