I don’t get this, they say to have a consistent release point, but you don’t pitch to the same side of the plate every time. I aim with my glove then bring my arm to the target. Is This good?
You are correct that your release point has to move in order to hit different sides of the plate. But that is a very small difference. Plus, your release point should still be the same distance in front of the rubber. So, when you hear someone mention having a consistent release point, they’re probably observing much larger variations that you really need.
