Recovery from starts

whats the best foods or supplements to take after you pitch to help recover faster and wont be as sore?

I just ice— get re-stretched— ice again—occasionally take some glutamine.

Im not a big believer in Supps. after an outing (but yes after lifting), all it ever does for me is make me more sore…

Here’s what I used to do and will be doing again this summer…

Wind Sprints, extreme stretching… The next day, I do a full body workout after I get in some throwing… I’ll probably be able to expand further on this if I’m able to play in the ABL this year.

As far as food is concerned…

Lean Meats (steak, chicken, etc)…
Complex Carbs (sweet potatoes, pasta, brown rice, etc)…

If you’d like to add in some healthy fats to the meal…

EVOO
Almonds
Avocados
Coconut Oil
etc…

you can also look into topical creams…

Flex Power (I’m currently using this) (Flexpower.com)
Topical Celadrin
etc…

You can also look into Compression Shorts. I wear these while I workout and will be wearing them when I play baseball this coming summer…

But anyways, eat right, look into purchasing Steve’s Book, and just stay consistent with everything…
