I should get my book in another day or so and i just wanted to know how may times a day should i do the listed workouts?

The book has logs in the back, saying which days to perform the workouts.

So once a day 3 times a week?

It depends. In phase 1 and 2 its 3 days a week. Your choice which days of course. But in phase 3 and 4, its 6 days a week with two optional days,
