Question

i was thinking why are baseballs white? I know this is a stupid question but i was wondering lol :stuck_out_tongue:

that is a good question…probably because it’s easy to see in both daylight and at night

Baseballs use to be made out of brow leather, and most games were played in the day. Sence most feilds back than were mostly dirt, the ball would blend into the dirt. Once night games were played a players were missing pop flys and ground balls (and they would get real heavy) they started making lighter, easier to see baseballs that were a light brown color and eventually made them white so they wouldnt blend in.
