Question about Towell Drill

I’ve heard that when you do the towell drill it is supposed to give you instant feedback on your mechanics.

How is this and what should you be looking for?

Hitting the target that is the proper distance in front of you tells you that you probably did things well and avoided mechanical and timing issues that would have kept you from getting out front. That is, unless you cheated by doing something like lunging.

Seriously, if you have a posture issue, you won’t hit the target. If you have a glove issue that creates a timing issue whereby you open up early, you won’t hit the target. If you lack enough momentum, you won’t hit the target.
