So far this year I have been having a real hard time with the mental aspect of pitching. Especially with runners on base and in my second inning of work.
In my first outing: 1st inning: 2k, groundout. Great inning not many pitches. 2nd inning: First guy reached by a walk and then the next guy got a hit and I unraveled. 2k, 2W, 1h, 1ER.
In my second outing I was just off but whenever I pitched from the wind I felt good but from the stretch I was off: 1 and 2/3 innings pitched, 4k, 4W, 4ER.
My third outing I felt like I cleared up my delivery: 2ip, 4k, 1w, 0er but a player reached on a dropped third strike and I had trouble focusing on the batter.
What are your opinions on my situation here? Are there any tricks to help me with the mental aspect of pitching or do you think that this is more of a pitching from the stretch problem?
