Pivot or no pivot?
My son has shown interest in learning to pitch. I have 0 experience, I played second base back in the day.
We are working on his wind up/delivery. Should he have a pivot step before
leg left or not??

Thanks
A pivot is to start the momentum of the wind up motion. If he is just learning to pitch a good place to start is from the stretch position.

I agree with Turn, get him comfortable from the stretch first before getting him used to a full wind up
