For those of you that coach younger pitchers, what drills do you use on a regular basis that you can share with members of this forum?
Honestly didnt use any drills. Just made sure mechanics where right. Make sure the glove foot glides.
But to help understand Lower and upper body rhythem, I did crossover steps to the front and back.
One drill I don’t understand is the one where a kid stands square to the target, raises his elbow to shoulder height, and forearm/wrist flips the ball to another player. It has been all the rage and has no correlation to any aspect of throwing anything but perhaps a bit related to shooting a basketball. Wasting valuable practice time on a motion that is not found anywhere in a throwing motion is ludicrous.
