Hi I am 16 years old and I just completed my tryouts for 2012. I made the team but after throwing my bullpen I felt a lot of pain in my elbow and a little bit in my shoulder. I am a bit worried because I only threw about 30 pitches and I wasn’t trying to overpower or anything… I topped out at 78mph. I was just wondering what are some ways I can alter my mechanics in order to take strain off of my elbow and shoulder? Is there anything I can do to help my arm after the game besides running, icing, ect.?
