Opinions on overhead lifting?

What do you guys think about overhead lifts such as the military press?

They can help build shoulder stability if done properly but can be very damaging if done improperly.

I personally think they are very beneficial; however, they must be done correctly, with proper weight, reps, and sets.

I’ve had a few neck strains from this exercise (military press…be careful.
