The sleep you get two nights before is just as important as the night before. Make sure you’re getting 8 hrs and you’re consistent week to week.
For food, aim for a little more complex carbs than normal. Whole grain pastas are good.
I always slept with sleeves at night – an Under Armor long sleeve loose shirt and sometimes a compression shirt when I was closing out games in the Chicago Cubs organization. I didn’t want the AC in the hotel room or my apartment/dorm or home to impact my ability to throw the next day in any way.
