So. I grew up in a football household, my dad coached for a long time at high school and community level. I’m legally disabled, I have a heart Condition that limits my oxygen level and was advised not to play contact sports and never did. I recently got interested in baseball and I enjoy practising pitching, but I’m 22 and I’m interested in getting involved playing or coaching, but with no experience (I never played little league or anything) I have no clue where to start. I understand playing any level at this point is probably unrealistic with no prior baseball practice.
That depends on how much free time you have and when you have it. Try to get involved with your local league. It’s easier to start coaching if you have skin in the game unless you know league officials. You could get your umpire certification and get involved that way.
