movement on the fastball

The last few days i’ve noticed that the movement on my fastball that i had a few weeks ago. i used to have a huge tail on the pitch that went into the righties and away from the lefty but now its barely even noticeable. can anyone think of a reason this happened or does this happen with the weather or something. By the way i throw around 70 with the fastball and have a sidearm arm slot

Have you changed your grip or any part of your pitching motion?

i have been experimenting with different mechcanics but i went back to my old ones

Are you gripping the ball with the seams or across the seams?

i got a two seam grip but i throw it like a fastball at a sidearm angle

So what you’re throwing is, in effect, a sidearm sinker. That can be a most devastating pitch, so you can work with it.

Sometimes it’s better not to see the ball move, means the movement is sharper and you’re probably finishing your pitch.

Talk to your catcher about the movement, get his opinion.

Also, sink is better than run, so if it’s sinking now, be happy.

Are you staying tall in the post or are you dropping down and flatting the angle down. Maybe you could get some video and upload it?
