This is IPB’s second event of the year and longest in duration (18 days). This event takes place in March of each year either in Cocoa, Florida. This event targets free agent players that IPB staff members put through a professional spring training. Live game evaluation, instruction, and education are the key parts of this event. Players will be evaluated and instructed daily by professional coaches and scouts from Major League Baseball Organizations and Independent Professional Leagues. The key component of this event is scheduled games against Major League Baseball organizations. Over the last three years this event has produced over 40% of the players attending signing professional contracts. In 2006, 19 players signed professional contracts.


This Event is ALL-INCLUSIVE and Provides:

    * 17 days of a professional spring training with current professional staff members representing MLB teams and Independent professional leagues.
    * Up to 13 games vs. Major League Organizations/International teams.
    * Scouts from MLB organizations and Independent Leagues in attendance*.
    * Lodging provided at the Cocoa Beach Complex (dorms)
    * iPB Uniforms provided for use. Cleats, turf shoes and batting glove orders will be taken (optional).
    * Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided at complex cafeteria.
    * Cocoa Beach shuttle vans will pick up players @ airport (2:30, 4:30 & 6:30 pm) Side A Parking Space 14 is where vans will meet players.

Players' Responsibilities
  1. Personal Equipment: Glove, cleats, personal protective equipment, uniform undergarments.
  2. Off Field Dress: Casual dress-shorts and polo shirts/t-shirts.
  3. Travel Uniform: Assigned uniform

Schedule of Events

March 9th:
Cocoa Beach shuttle vans will pick up players @ Orlando Airport (1:30, 3:30 & 5:30 p.m.) Players are responsible for payment for shuttle service. Approx.$30.00 per player roundtrip. Will issue uniforms and players need to sign event waiver. Team dinner and meeting in Cafeteria.

March 10th - 13th Instruction & Evaluations
March 14th - 25th Games
March 26th - Player Checkout
