Major League/ College Workouts

Hey I just wanted to post this web page for everyone who’s interested. It’s by STACK: For the Athlete By the Athlete. There are a bunch of other workouts besides Johan Santana’s and I find it interesting to see what’s going on around the country with baseball workouts.

Sigh. Leg extensions, curls, seated calf raises…

All pretty useless. And possibly dangerous.

Useless because working muscles in isolation is not how they work in athletics. Dangerous because it can build muscle imbalances, which is a big factor with regard to injury.

Just another reason to disregard how most elite athletes train. Elite genetics cover up a lot of inefficiencies.
