I currently throw sidearm about at my waist maybe a little lower. I used to throw up top and the transition to sidearm was fairly easy for me. I’m getting good movement and velo from the waist area sidearm but am wondering if I could get any more advantages by dropping even lower to near the ankles? Has anyone faced or knows anything about the delifferences between the two in movement , velo, deception, etc?
It’s really just a matter of shoulder angle and trunk tilt. The question is, can you still throw strikes? That’s more important than movement at first. Then as you can gain a sense of comfort with the K zone, you can focus on manipulating your grip/release to get movement.
