I was at the Mets game last night and saw Maine pitch great game. I did notice though that he doesn't have any mound presence. Last night he was totally in control of his pitching. It makes a big difference when you can spot pitch and that was the reason for his success last night. Maine's delivery was smooth and his locations were great. He even struck out a few with a somewhat (mediocre) fastball by major league standards. He made it look real easy last night.
