Look at mechanics alone to predict velocity

#1

do you think you could simply look at the delivery/mechanics of a pitcher and accuratly predict ones fastball velocity? (within a 3mph range)

#2

No, but without a gun I can tell you what the guy is throwing more accurately than 3 mph either direction, more like 1 mph in either direction. Some people have beautiful mechanics but still weren’t gifted genetically with the arm speed.

#3

No on video but I think that in person, within 5-7 m,ph I could.

Totally agree. Lots of little leaguers have good mechanics … but don’t throw as hard as older pitchers (high school/college) with mechanics than need improvement!
Some people have beautiful mechanics but still weren’t gifted genetically with the arm speed.
this is exactly like me. everyone says i have amazing mechancis. but im not so fast. to ur question. i think maybe withing 8mph range i susspose i could. we should put it to the test.
