Should I be bench pressing during the season? I have a very weak chest and do not want to lose its strength during the season. Are there any substitute workouts for bench press that would be better on my shoulder. And is it actually bad to do it inseason or is that just a myth
If you are weak, pushups will be just as effective at raising your strength. You also shouldn’t have any of the soreness, which would be bad if you are in season.
Start with regular pushups and then start working some of the variations- clap pushup, diamond, power overs, wide hand placement.
