When icing your arm i was told you should go 15 on then 15 off three times. Would it hurt to go more than 3 times?would it make things better? or will it make no difference at all?
Icing is used to reduce swelling and possibly pain. In other words, it treats symptoms. The actual repair/recovery that takes place needs blood flow to bring the oxygen and nutrients that are necessary. So, you should always do some cardio work after you pitch. Icing is optional. I’ve been taught no more than 10-15 minutes on the elbow and no more than 15-20 minutes on the shoulder.
