I have difficulty getting my hips going towards home plate

right at or before leg lift. I feel like I’m just falling, it doesn’t feel like a stride. Are there any tips/drills to get the hips going home sooner?

Do you mean right at or before the peak of leg lift?

Regardless, it takes lots of reps to start to get comfortable with it. It also takes proper strength and flexibility. I would suggest using the towel drill to practice this and get in lots of reps.
