I have been doing a lot of weight training with my lower body in the last few months. I do squats, power cleans, and deadlifts about 2-3 times a week. I haven’t felt any difference with my lower body so I don’t know if I have gotten stronger at all.
Keep track of your maxes and track your progress
Generally takes 6 weeks before you’ll really start noticing strength gains.
And it’s important to be honest with yourself…
When you say the following:
… does this mean you’re working out 2 days per week, or 3 days per week? Big difference. Be honest with yourself. If it’s really 2 days, then it’s not enough to notice any sort of strength gains.
It depends. On some weeks I have only been able to be in the weight room for 2 days but some other weeks I can work out 3 days.
I’m not being sarcastic, but what am I missing? Can you max more? Can you do more reps with the same weight? If so, then you are stronger. If not, back to the iron.
