How to get 12-6 break

how do you get the 12-6 break

every time i throw my curve(that is very good) it is never 12-6
its always 2-7 or it breaks to the left

Normally wrist positon or a overhand arm slot.

EDIT: IMO a 2-way breaking curve is better then a 1 way

Try twisting your wrist with a 4-seam axis spin.

It’s not really possible to throw a true 12-6 breaking ball. If you did manage to do it, the delivery would be so obvious that you’d get cranked.

Just work with the break you have now, and learn to improve it by making the break later and being able to throw it for a strike.

Uhhh…what? This makes no sense. It all depends on arm angle. You need to throw a curveball with the same arm action you throw a fastball. Your arm angle will constitute the “Clock” break on your curveball. I threw straight over the top in high school and threw a 12-6 now mine is more 11-5

I throw mine from the exact same angle as as my fastball. I throw from the 3/4 angle. I get a 2 - 8 break. it is a little “sweeping”. If you don’t throw overhand the arm angle will give the curve away, and that pitch will go bye-bye every time.

Try using that video.

To me it makes sense, ( at least the 4- seam axis spin part).
