I have been wondering… what is a good way to stretch the hammy?
look at the pictures on there. there are a ton of exercises for stretching the hamstring
My favorite stretch for the hammy is also a strengthening exercise…its called a single leg RDL (romanian dead lift). It is performed by standing on one leg and reaching with the opposite arm down and touching your toe (or as close as you can go). Generally, you will hold a light dumbbell for resistance. As you reach down, your other leg should lift off the ground to parallel, forcing you to balance in a solid finish position.
You will feel the stretch as you do it…but its is one of the BEST exercises a pitcher can do…so def. worth a try. it forces you to loosely simulate the posture you will be in when finishing a pitch
