How do I keep my hip and body closed longer
Check out the Hersheiser Drill. It’s a great drill and good first step for staying closed and leading with your hip to the plate. Also try landing with your stride foot slightly closed. This may help keep you closed off longer.
Pay attention to posture and glove. Postural shifts to the glove side can cause you to open up early. Also, pulling, dropping or flying open with the glove can also open you up early.
