Having hard work translate to on-field results

Hey everybody. It’s been a little bit since I had the chance to visit / post. After a few rainouts I got the ball today for our season opener. While I will readily concede I’m frustrated to walk away with an L, I think the #'s speak for themselves. Months of off-season work and strict attention to my nutritional / dietary intake has produced results on the field. my line read today:

8 Innings pitched (CG)
3 H (1 double, 2 singles)
3 R
0 ER
1 BB (in the 6th inning)
11 K (struck out the side 2x)

We lost today 3-1, but this was my debut with a new team and it was definitely something to build future successes on. Even with this outing going well, I’m still convinced with some fine tuning I can find a few more MPH. Hope everyone has a fantastic baseball filled weekend!

In case anyone’s wondering what level / league I’m pitching in / at : I play for the Bronx Patriots in the Westchester / Putnam 21+ wood bat only MABL (Men’s Adult Baseball League)
