-early north south movement with negligible lateral movement-even but fast tempo from first movement through release-aggressive drive toward the plate keeping the back knee over a flat back foot-managing the stride in order to get up over a vertical front leg that doesn't drift after foot plant -effective use of rotational energy from back foot roll over all the way up the chain-releasing the ball out in front-following through down the target line
