Question: If I wanted to hit the gym on gamedays a few hours before throwing, what kind of workout would you recommend? Or would it be a bad idea to work out at all and save my energy for throwing? Thanks in advance.
I’ve heard of people working out in the morning, not a few hours before the game. If working out is not a real serious part of your every day performance regimen, I wouldn’t recommend it. Sounds like it isn’t
If you have only a few hours before the game, I would focus on stretching your entire body and using light/moderate band work for the pitching intense body parts as part of your pre-game, pre-performance routine.
