Finger Strengthening

I broke the knuckle in the middle finger on my right hand years ago. The bone has healed enough to move, but it’ll never be 100% again because of how it broke.

So, after throwing for a little while it’s starts becoming sore.

Is there anything I can do to strengthen the finger? I usually just play through the pain, and discomfort; but I would like to not have to do it.

hmmm … maybe fill a coffee can up with rice and dig your way to the bottom wiggling your fingers through… and crumpling up semi think newspapers with your fingers while your forearm rests on the table.
