I might take a dodgeball class next year at my school…i was wondering if that would be bad on my arm as long i dont throw all out every day and ice it, run, and exercise it like during baseball season.

I really dont know what to say to this.

It’s not a good choice at all. As a pitcher, you shouldn’t throw anything other than a baseball. No snowballs, no dodgeballs, no softballs, no wiffle balls, etc. All these items are different weight and size. By throwing them, you inevitable must adjust your mechanics to compensate for the differences. And 9 times out of 10, you’re not warmed up properly. All these things – not warmed up, weight and size differences – can tweak your arm and cause injury. It’s not worth it.

I always threw non-baseball stuff with my non-pitching hand. Always!
