Thrown correctly should a change-up have stress on your arm? I’m looking to learn to throw a change-up but i want to know how many pitches safely I can throw. I wanna go out and just throw multiple change-ups in a row but I’m worried about the stress on my arm it could cause. I’m 14 turning 15
The changup shouldn’t cause any extra stress to the arm. Ideally you turn your thumb down to decrease velocity. This is known as pronation. Pronation is natural and aids in protecting the elbow.
Nope not a thing, Chaneup is simple a fastball thats held deeper with a few more fingers. The grip does the rest.
