I feel your pain bro, somewhat.
I'm 16 too, so I have that beast of a metabolism as well.
I was at 158 in mid september however, and was up to 174 by mid november. However, I haven't been able to gain a thing since. It might be because while I was in this massive gain stage of about what, 8 weeks?
I took two calorie shakes a day, one before bed and one for breakfast. I didn't eat before workouts, it was fine to just go on an empty stomach (only have one class before weight training anyways) however I also ate EVERYTHING in sight. I'll admit it probably wasn't all healthy, or cost efficient, but still. I now sit at 174, and should probably work on getting those two shakes a day again once I go back onto a cycle..
Oh, I heard if you're just taking normal protein shakes (not the calorie shakes you described) you can add some good stuff such as oats, banana, flaxseed oil, etc. to up the calories and have a more healthy benefit.
