I noticed you’re a Canada guy. Mebbe you can answer a couple questions.
Just recently I did a bunch of research about pitch limits for HSs. When I found the limits of almost all the states, I decided to take a look at the NFHS affiliated organizations. Most of them are Canadian, and I was having a miserable time finding anything about them. That is until I stumbled across the following.
Evidently, that proposal went through, and Richard Todd over at WebBall http://www.webball.com/cms/ tells me the entire country has moved to the pitch count standard. I have to admit I’m envious, and somewhat disappointed that this country doesn’t have a REAL national organization like Baseball Canada to deal with things like pitching limitations. Baseball USA is really weak in comparison.
What has been your experience, if any, with the transition to pitch counts, and in your opinion, has it been a positive or negative experience?
