I use to break the hands relatively earlier during my delivery. I had a bad habit of getting real long with my arm on the back side, and you could see it behind my entire body when my shoulder was closed off to the plate.
What are the advantages of breaking the hands late? Does it help keep the arm directly behind the body (hide the ball) or am i just fixing my habit by throwing a tennis ball and working on it that way?
I feel like breaking the hands late forces you to use more core (as in abs) and doesn’t allow you to over rotate during the delivery–keeping more compact- but that could just be me
