Breaking at hip, throwin over the top

i used to pitch side-arm and had some elbow problems but im 15 years old turning 16 in november and throw low 80’s. Ive been advised to break at the hip and try to get my arm into throwin position fast. i just need some advice on how to make my motion fluid and flow naturally while still throwing over the top and breaking at the hip

So whoever advised you must have thought your arm was getting into position late. But did he (or you) consider that maybe you were opening up early? There’s always two ways to look at things. :wink:
